Heys :)
Another week of teaching is over one more to go :) Teaching is taking a toll on my vocal chords which feel very strained! All the screaming at them to keep quiet and sit down and nonsense. Hais this week they have alot of play time because lessons were cancelled to stop the fever from spreading so i let them play "wedding/husband and wife" in class and guess what? This girl went to kiss this guy on the lips! Tsk tsk totally unacceptable behaviour in class! I was quite taken aback and of course explained to them that it was wrong and then they were like miss lim don't tell you and your boyfriend never? So i told them i didn't have a boyfriend and she asked me oh then you and your husband? *slaps forehead* I hope i taught them the right morals! haha But this week was better, not so many discipline problems with the class maybe cause they know i won't let whoever who's naughty go for recess anymore. It's a really effective deterrent! a student told me that i look like miss singapore on friday :) I think i'll buy my class something to give them on friday as a 'leaving gift' despite all the headaches and sorethroats, being Miss Lim had its rewarding and fun moments. And i've definately learnt alot teaching them too.
Drove everyday this week except on wed. Today i learnt parallel parking! It's so fun! Vertical parking next on monday! I hope it's just as fun :) On Monday i have a driving lesson followed by a driving simulator lesson follwed by the final theory test! Long day ahead.
After results on wednesday went to coffee club and sat down with grace, shun and jia. Thursday night my parents decided to have a treat at huating. The food there is really good! But it's quite weird because you order chinese soup per person? yeahs
Friday was fun fun :) After school i went down to suntec for laksa with my mum and then we went to the career fair to meet the oal representative did all the applications and then rushed down for driving. I was so late because firstly we left suntec late and then my mum couldn't figure out how to get from suntec to bukitbatok! Oh wells learnt directional change which i don't think i'm good at haha i went up the kerb once! Came home and then when celeste came we started our cooking session! :) grace cooked something tooo :p It was quite fun and we had loads of food for ourselves and my family. We cooked wonton soup, oyster sauce chicken, black pepper beef, minced chicken toufu with teriyaki sauce, minced beef toufu with teriyaki sauce, chye poh omelette! :) Watched tvee after dinner and then we had our mahjong session :) have to master mahjong just in case the life of a tai tai beckons next time! we woke up at eight to someone's phone playing tonghua :p
I am very lazy to get any work done now. I have tons of lessons to plan for next week, home econs to think of so i can head down to the supermarket and get the ingredients for monday and clinic work to do because i want to finish everything before i leave on friday night. Oh yah and i have to read up on ethics for my uk essay which i will have to do on the spot half in hour before my interview. Thankfully my mum, being quite kiasu, has gone to the uni and borrowed the appropriate books for me to read up. I was planning on doing that on the plane there and while i am there since that's probably the only time when i will have free time to myself but apparently shopping is on the agenda! so yeahs. I don't know if i'll have time to update before i leave but if i don't hope everyone's doing fine and i'll see ya all when i get back. Be back on the 19th night i think.
